Reveal of
Lighthouse Point,
Florida Fire Station on Lifetime Channel -
WASHINGTON, July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- For almost 40
years, the fire station in Lighthouse
Point, Florida didn't get a major renovation. That was
before Designing Spaces, and sponsors including ICMA-RC,
stepped in for a makeover as part of a "Spaces of Hope" special
edition that airs August 4th on
Lifetime TV (check local listings for airtimes.)
ICMA-RC has been providing Lighthouse
Point firefighters and employees with retirement investments
and services since 1978. When Designing Spaces approached
ICMA-RC about co-sponsoring the program to improve the fire
station, ICMA-RC agreed it was important for the firefighters,
whose engine bears the inscription "Caring, Serving, Protecting",
to get a modern and comfortable place to work, eat and catch up on
their sleep between putting out fires and serving their
community.
"Participating in the Designing Spaces makeover was an
exciting way for ICMA-RC and others in the community to help the
Lighthouse Point firefighters
improve their firehouse, where they live and work," said ICMA-RC
Senior Vice President, Catherine
Leggett. "We thank the Lighthouse Point firefighters for their
important service and hope the newly renovated fire house will help
improve their daily routines and allow them to continue to bravely
serve the community."
For a behind-the-scenes look at the fire station's exciting
transformation, watch this video created by ICMA-RC on the set of
Designing Spaces featuring David
Donzella, the Lighthouse
Point fire chief; Yolanda
Flores, Lighthouse Point's
ICMA-RC Retirement Plan Specialist and ICMA-RC's Catherine Leggett. Then tune in to Lifetime on
August 4 to catch the big reveal!
