BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Brightpoint Inc. and Research In Motion Ltd.
Thursday have entered into a global master distribution agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, Brightpoint may distribute Research in
Motion products to various territories globally that may include North America,
Latin America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, and the Asia Pacific.
Brightpoint also will support a wide range of Research in Motion's
BlackBerry smartphones and help in the global expansion of BlackBerry products
and services via its customer base.
Shares of Research In Motion rose nearly 4.2% to $126.69, while shares of
Brightpoint gained 5.6% to $9.66.
