TEL AVIV, Israel, February 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Blackbird International
Corporation (OTC: BBRD), a global leader in renewable sea wave
energy technology, is pleased to announce that a partnership
agreement has been signed with ACEP, The Africa Center for Energy
Policy, with the goal of erecting a sea wave energy power plant to
supplement the region's energy needs.
WERPO signed a JV agreement with ACEP,
The Africa Center for Energy Policy in Ghana. Shmuel
Ovadia, director at WERPO and inventor of its proprietary
sea wave energy technology, stated that "This partnership agreement
is a great step towards implementing WERPO's unique sea wave energy
in Ghana, where I believe there's
potential for tens of millions of dollars of revenues from the
erection and sale of sea wave power plants."
WERPO and ACEP will work to form a
local JV in Ghana, under which
they plan to erect a sea wave energy power station. While ACEP
shall work to attain all necessary authorizations and liaise with
the state on all matters regarding the future project, WERPO will
provide its renewable and profitable sea wave energy
technology.
In addition to providing a new power
source to a region suffering from a severe energy crisis, the
erection of a sea wave power plant in Ghana will assist in stimulating the local
economy through job creation and by introducing a new renewable
energy sector utilizing sea waves.
WERPO has been in contact with Mr. John
Peter Amewu, Director of Research and Evidence at ACEP, for quite
some time and it is evident that both WERPO and ACEP have the same
goal of utilizing Ghana's untapped
resource of sea waves in the best possible manner by introducing
WERPO's system in the region.
About ACEP:
The Africa Centre for Energy Policy,
established in 2010, is registered in Ghana. ACEP is an African energy policy think
tank, an advisory based organization working with partners around
the world and especially in Africa
to harness the potential of Africa's vast energy resources (oil, gas and
renewable) for the accelerated development of the Continent.
ACEP's goal is to become a centre of
excellence in energy policy analysis, training and advocacy on the
best use of Africa's energy
resources for equitable and sustainable development.
About WERPO sea wave energy
technology (BBRD):
WERPO, having received the rights for
all of SDE Ltd's technology, property, know-how, IP (patents, et
al), contracts and subsidiaries, is able to promote its sea wave
energy solution around the world while being publicly traded under
the stock name BBRD.
WERPO's unique technology is based on
the utilization of sea waves' rise and fall to yield hydraulic
pressure that produces electricity, while exploiting the full
potential of wave speed, height, depth and currents beneath the
surface of the water. This technology was chosen as number one in
its field by an independent team of scientists
from PesWiki and also as one of the top 100 renewable
energies.
After having perfected the system, in
the 11 models built and operated in Jaffa port, Israel and in China, WERPO has the capability to implement
its technology on a commercial scale.
