MIAMI, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Benihana (NASDAQ:BNHNNASDAQ:andNASDAQ:BNHNA) is pleased to announce that its customer rewards program, the Emperor's Club, has registered nearly 90,000 members since it was launched in August 2004. Originally introduced at Doraku, part of Benihana's boutique restaurant division, the Emperor's Club is now accepted nationwide at 65 participating Benihana restaurants.
"Since its inception last year, we have seen this program grow significantly due in part to the enticing rewards we are able to offer our loyal customers. Now, with the holiday season upon us, we have created another way of saying thank you to our Emperor's Club members by offering triple points when they dine at a participating Benihana restaurant on Thanksgiving Day," said Kevin Aoki, Benihana vice president of marketing.
Members of the Emperor's Club typically receive one point for every dollar spent on food items at Benihana. Once accumulated, members can redeem points for valuable savings. This Thanksgiving Day let Benihana do the cooking for you and be rewarded with triple points at all participating U.S. Benihana restaurants.
Benihana, now in its 41st year and one of the nation's largest chains of Asian restaurants, currently operates 72 restaurants nationwide, including 56 Benihana teppanyaki restaurants, seven Haru sushi restaurants, eight RA Sushi Bar restaurants and one Doraku restaurant.
