Being a Road Warrior Could Pay Off in Millions of American Airlines AAdvantage Miles and Hilton HHonors Bonus Points

Enter the 7th Annual American Way Magazine Road Warrior Contest Today

FORT WORTH, Texas, July 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Way magazine, the award-winning inflight magazine of American Airlines, recently launched the 7th Annual American Way Road Warrior Contest. All it takes to be a contender is to visit http://www.americanwaymag.com/roadwarrior by Aug. 31, and fill out a simple survey, as well as complete a series of fun, but challenging, tasks set forth by the American Way editors.

The top five Road Warrior finalists will be chosen by the American Way editorial staff and then American Way readers will determine the Grand Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize winners by voting online for their favorite contestant.

The Grand Prize winner will fly away with 2 million Hilton HHonors(R) bonus points and 1 million AAdvantage(R) bonus miles. Second and Third Prize winners will receive fabulous prizes from Bose(R), Panasonic, and American Airlines Vacations(SM) -- and all five winners will be featured on the cover and throughout the March 1, 2009, issue of American Way with their travel tales, photos, and more.

"Even if you don't bring back a souvenir from every trip, you probably bring back a great story from each destination," said Sherri Burns, editor of American Way. "We look forward to bestowing the prizes and titles on five worthy Road Warriors."

Being a veteran traveler means experiencing all kinds of adventures, which help make a true Road Warrior stronger, smarter, and more equipped to take on the next travel challenge. This year, in addition to sharing best and worst travel stories, contest tasks include a photo scavenger hunt and details of the entrant's most grueling travel itinerary spanning one month of 2008.

Over the past six years, nearly 50,000 travelers have entered the contest in hopes of winning the coveted Road Warrior title and amazing prizes, which this year include a Grand Prize of 2 million Hilton HHonors(R) bonus points and 1 million AAdvantage(R) bonus miles. The Second Prize consists of one Bose(R) Lifestyle(R) 48 home entertainment system, one Bose(R) Wave(R) music system, one pair of Bose(R) QuietComfort(R) 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling(R) headphones, one five-night trip for two to the Hilton Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica from American Airlines Vacations(SM), and one Panasonic Toughbook(R) W7 laptop computer . Three Third Prizes include a three-night vacation for two to the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau, Bahamas, from American Airlines Vacations(SM) and one Panasonic Toughbook(R) W7 laptop computer.

Entries for the 7th Annual American Way Road Warrior Search will be accepted until August 31, 2008, at 11:59 p.m. CDT. The entry form and Official Rules are available online at http://www.americanwaymag.com/roadwarrior. Winners will be announced in the March 1, 2009, issue of American Way.
