LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Bateman Engineering N.V. expects an $18 million
reduction in operating profit for the year to end-June due to provisions made
for damage caused by fire at one key project site and increased costs at
another.
The increase in project provisions at the Lumwana copper project and the
Moma project means Bateman will now not meet the board's expectations for the
year ended June 30 2008, chairman Rick Menell said.
