PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) - Dermatology products maker Barrier Therapeutics Inc.
on Thursday said it signed a deal to sell its dermatitis treatment Xolegel
together with Procter & Gamble's dandruff shampoo Head & Shoulders.
The kit, known as Xolegel Duo, is expected to be available by prescription
in June.
Under the agreement, Procter & Gamble will supply small bottles of the
shampoo to Barrier, who is responsible for making the kits and selling them.
Barrier will also receive all sales proceeds from Xolegel Duo.
Shares of Barrier rose 46 cents, or more than 20 percent, to $2.70 in
premarket trading. Shares closed Wednesday at $2.24.
