RESULT OF PLACING AND OPEN OFFER A H Ball Group PLC ("the Company") announces that at 3.00pm
today, being the latest time for application and payment in
full for new Ordinary Shares pursuant to the open offer
announced on 17 December 1997 ("Open Offer"), applications had
been received in respect of 9,351,718 new Ordinary Shares,
representing 37.45 per cent. of the total number of new
Ordinary Shares offered to Qualifying Shareholders.
The new Ordinary Shares will be issued credited as fully paid
and will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing
Ordinary Shares.
Dealings in the new Ordinary Shares are expected to commence
on 19 January 1998 and share certificates are expected to be
dispatched by Monday, 26 January 1998. END
