Proposed disposal of the Construction Division of A H Ball Group PLC ("the
Disposal") A H Ball Group PLC has today posted a circular to shareholders in relation to
the Disposal.
The circular includes the notice convening an Extraordinary General Meeting to
approve the proposed Disposal and the proposed change of name to Langley &
Johnson Group PLC. The Extraordinary General Meeting will be held at the
offices of Wallace & Partners, 9 Great James Street, London WC1N 3DA at 11:05
a.m. on 28 October 1998 ( or so soon thereafter as the Annual General Meeting
convened for the same day has been concluded or adjourned).
Copies of the circular can be obtained from Wallace & Partners at the above
address until the date of the Extraordinary General Meeting.
Exclusive negotiations with a potential acquisition target, as mentioned in
our announcement of 4 August 1998, are no longer in progress. Consideration
is presently being given to other acquisition opportunities.
