Balfour Beatty awarded $410 mln AMC West housing deal by US air force

        LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Balfour Beatty Plc. said Balfour Beatty
Communities, its U.S. public private partnership (PPP) concession arm, has been
awarded a more than $410 million Air Mobility Command (AMC) West military
housing privatisation project by the U.S. Air Force. 
    The project covers three air force bases: Fairchild in California, Travis in
Washington and Tinker in Oklahoma.
    The project has a 50-year term, which includes the design, construction,
renovation, overall management, maintenance and operational responsibilities for
a total of 2,435 end-state housing units.
