LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Balfour Beatty Plc. said it has acquired German
rail engineering group, Schreck-Mieves GmbH, for 36 million euros.
The engineering and construction group said it sees Schreck-Mieves add
volume through market share growth and geographical expansion within Germany.
Schreck-Mieves, with net assets of 17 million euros, posted an operating
profit of 3.3 million euros on sales of 118 million euros in 2007, it added.
Schreck-Mieves also has operations in Holland and Russia.
