LONDON--BT Group PLC (BT.A.LN), the telecommunications group, Monday said it has started a search for a successor to its Finance Director Tony Chanmugam.

Still, it said no formal decision has been taken on a replacement or around the potential timing of any change.

The company made a statement following recent media speculation that Mr. Chanmugam may step down from the role later this year.

Shares closed Friday at 476 pence.
