* Takeover discussions continue but there is no material progress to report
* Concerned by slow progress which it understands is hampered in part by the
impact of credit crisis on obtaining acquisition funding
* Arthro Kinetics announced on Sept 29 it was in preliminary discussions
which may or may not lead to an offer for the company
