BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) said it sold 47,342
cars in mainland China in the first nine months, up 30.4 pct year-on-year.
The sales figures include its small-car Mini brand.
The company said in a statement that China sales of BMW-branded cars rose 29
pct from a year earlier to nearly 44,980 units in the first nine months.
In greater China, which includes Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, BMW and Mini
sales rose 26 pct to 54,465 units.
The carmaker's global sales of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brands totalled
1.11 mln units during the period, up 1.7 pct from a year earlier.
