Attendees received an up-close look at recent state-of-the-art upgrades Arrow made to the 400,000 sq. ft. facility—one of the largest IT asset disposition facilities in the world—including automation and layout improvements that have further increased processing efficiency and chain-of-custody security. Arrow’s secure shipping methods and brand new U.S. vehicle fleet were also on display.

“Arrow is always looking for ways to improve operational efficiencies that make it easier, faster and more secure for our clients to recoup the value of their disposed assets and get repurposed products to market,” said Joep van Loon, vice president and North America general manager of Arrow’s value recovery business.

“Our flagship Ohio facility was already a model of efficiency and security, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our fantastic on-site staff,” continued van Loon. “Ongoing enhancements like those on display in our Ohio facility will ensure Arrow remains the global IT asset disposition leader—today and five years out.”

In addition to tours and demonstrations, Arrow also offered sustainability learning sessions with Carol Baroudi, the global sustainability and compliance expert for Arrow’s value recovery business. Baroudi provided attendees with guidance on how to minimize environmental concerns and impact in the electronics and IT industries—from initial design to the end of a product’s lifecycle.

Arrow’s value recovery business works with customers around the world to securely refurbish computers, servers, smartphones, printers and other electronic devices for additional use, or repurpose their still-valuable component parts for other uses. Whenever possible, Arrow emphasizes extending the life of these devices by selling them, redeploying them within organizations or donating them. Learn more at http://www.arrowvaluerecovery.com/.
