Arrow Electronics Implements Order Management Process for the First Time in
Asia

announced it has reached another milestone in its commitment to deploy
RosettaNet standards globally. Expanding its role as a leader in e-business,
Arrow has successfully implemented a RosettaNet Order Management Partner
Interface Process in Asia.
RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes(R) (PIPs(R)) are specialized
system-to-system XML-based dialogs that define business processes between
trading partners.
Arrow Electronics and AVX, a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of
electronic components, have successfully begun sharing real-time purchase order
requests and acknowledgment via RosettaNet's Order Management Partner Interface
Process (PIP) 3A4 and PIP 3A7. This real-time, bilateral communication
dramatically reduces the cycle time by as much as 90%. The speed and accuracy
of information flow provides productivity advantages for Arrow and AVX, and
significantly improves visibility to better service customer orders.
