Appointments to the Advisory Panel
The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Cotter, BSc
(NUI), D.Phil (Oxon), and Dr Peter Daly, BSc, Ph.D to the Company's Advisory
Panel. Thomas Cotter is Professor of Biochemistry at University College Cork,
Ireland, and is the Chief Scientific Officer and a Director of EiRx
Therapeutics Limited, a company in which World Life Sciences made an
investment earlier this month and of which Professor Cotter is a co-founder. After graduating from the University of Oxford in 1979, Professor Cotter has
held many senior academic positions at universities and institutions in the
USA and Europe, specialising in biological sciences, pharmacology, immunology
and apoptosis. Prior to co-founding EiRx Therapeutics in 1999, Professor
Cotter has been an advisor to several companies during the last 10 years,
including Elan (Irl), Eli Lilly (USA) and Biomeasure (USA). Dr Peter Daly is the Chief Executive Officer of EiRx Therapeutics Limited and
co-founded the company in 1997 with Professor Cotter, where they jointly
developed the novel concepts on which the company is based. Prior to this Dr
Daly was business development manager at international food trading group Agra
Trading Limited, and before this was acquisitions manager at pharmaceutical
company CMR plc where he was responsible for their mergers and acquisitions
programme. Dr Daly was also a pharmaceutical equity analyst at Davy
Stockbrokers and biotechnology project manager at the National Board for
