IMS Maxims Plc ("IMS" or the "Company")
Appointed supplier to ASCC Framework Contract by NHS Connecting for Health
The Company is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, 3C Healthcare Partnership Limited ("3C"), has been appointed as a
supplier to a Framework Contract (Additional Supply Capability and Capacity Frameworks - ASCC). These Frameworks have been established to
provide additional capacity and capability in the supply of IT products and services to the NHS.
The ASCC Framework contracts will provide NHS organisations with a more efficient route to procure IT systems and services from
suppliers who have demonstrated their experience in the health sector.
Suppliers who have been appointed to the ASCC Framework will be invited to tender under further competitions when an NHS Organisation
chooses to utilise the ASCC Framework route.
The ASCC Framework covers four areas or Lots: Information and Communication Technology Services, Clinical Information Technology
Services, Hardware, Infrastructure and Associated Services and Testing Environments and Related Services. Earlier this year, NHS Connecting
for Health announced a list of 38 suppliers for three of these four Lots. The last Lot, which was announced on 7th May 2008, is Clinical
Information Technology Services. This Lot will support the delivery of existing clinical IT systems and provide new clinical IT systems and
services as business requirements emerge. 3C is one of 61 suppliers to provide services under this Lot of the ASCC Frameworks.
3C consists of a partnership of seven UK-based SMEs, each of which has many years of experience working with the NHS. Partner members
were carefully selected for their proven record of successfully delivering and supporting solutions to the NHS and enable 3C to provide a
broad range of clinical information services.
Collectively the 3C partners bring financial and operational strength such that NHS Trusts can benefit from their breadth of experience
and depth of knowledge.
Commenting on this appointment, Brian Ennis, Chief Executive, said:
"The inclusion of 3C in the ASCC Framework opens up new opportunities for IMS Maxims and its partners in delivering our unique and
innovative solutions to the NHS Trusts under CfH's National Programme for IT.
We are delighted to have been appointed to the ASCC Framework by NHS CFH and believe that this is a consequence of the significant
investments we have made in our product offerings in recent years."
