WASHINGTON (AP) - Independent exploration and production company Anadarko
Petroleum Corp. spent $270,000 in the first quarter to lobby on energy taxes and
other issues, according to a disclosure form.
The company also lobbied on legislation dealing with oil and natural gas
production, according to the form posted online April 16 by the House clerk's
office. The Texas-based company spent $790,000 to lobby the federal government
in 2007.
Besides Congress, Anadarko lobbied the Energy Department.
