Approval of Ministry of Natural Resources

Mining Licence Update

Amur Minerals Corporation ("Amur" or the "Company"), the nickel-copper exploration and development company focused on base metal projects located in the Far East of Russia, is pleased to report that Russian authorities have confirmed that the Ministry of Natural Resources ("MNR") of the Russian Federation has approved the Company's application for a mining license. This is the final agency approval required in the licence conversion process and it has now been forwarded to the administration of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev for final authorisation.

With the MNR approval and the final submittal to the Prime Minister, the process of converting a portion of the exploration licence at Kun-Manie to that of a production licence is now one step from final approval, needing only the signature of the Prime Minister or his designate. The licence area contains all drilled mineralisation identified during the last 10 years.

Highlights:

-- MNR has approved the application for a mining licence and submitted it to the Government of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev for the ultimate signoff.

-- The process of converting the selected mining licence area from that of an exploration licence is nearing completion. The full complement of Russian agencies required to review and approve the application is now complete.

-- The MNR has now directly submitted its recommendation to the government of Dmitry Medvedev for consideration and final sign off. Upon sign off, a directive to all agencies to complete the necessary administrative paperwork completing issuance of the production licence will be issued.

Robin Young, CEO of Amur Minerals Corporation, commented:

"We are pleased to inform our shareholders that the license conversion process continues to move forward with the support of the Russian authorities. The Strategic Law of 2008 created a lengthy but explicit process by which exploration rights can be converted to mining rights. Along with the extensive field work and engineering studies carried out to determine the viability of the deposit, all required Russian Government agencies have now approved our application on the strategic asset of Kun-Manie and we now await final signoff by the Prime Minister, Mr. Dmitry Medvedev. Having received approvals from all the required agencies, speaks to the desire of the Russian Government, in accord with Amur, to move this project onto the next phase. We thank our counterparts in the Government for their timely and professional work, and we will continue our cooperation for the benefit of Amur shareholders and Far Eastern socio-economic development."
