At the Roth Capital China Conference, held yesterday in Miami, FL, the Company commented on its estimated market opportunity and mentioned a potential name change to better reflect the Company's exclusive focus on the Chinese consumer market, particularly the Chinese infant formula market.
"We believe the infant formula market in China continues to demonstrate room for growth, and is estimated to potentially reach $12 billion by 2014. We intend to maintain, and ultimately increase, our market share during this time period. Concurrently, if the competitive landscape matures, we expect that the leading players will dominate the addressable market by 2014. With all of our revenue generated in China, and with such an exciting outlook in our home market, we are also evaluating changing our holding company name, 'American Dairy,' to reflect our Feihe brand and to be recognized by our customers in China," stated Jonathan Chou, Chief Financial Officer of American Dairy.
