American Dairy Appoints Jonathan H. Chou to Chief Financial Officer

BEIJING, April 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Dairy, Inc. (NYSE:ADY), one of the leading producers and distributors of premium infant formula, milk powder and soybean, rice and walnut products in China, today announced the appointment of Jonathan H. Chou as Chief Financial Officer of American Dairy. Effective April 15, 2008, Mr. Chou will succeed Roger (Hua) Liu, who has assumed the role of Vice-Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Chou brings to American Dairy over 15 years of finance and accounting experience in the U.S. and Asia. Prior to joining American Dairy, he served as Asia Pacific Corporate Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions of Honeywell International (NYSE:HON). In this role, Chou managed the company's M&A activities in China and managed a number of corporate strategic initiatives across the region. From 2003 to 2006, Chou served as the Asia Regional Chief Financial Officer of Tyco Fire & Security ("TFS"), a division of Tyco International, where he introduced initiatives to improve operating efficiency and improve corporate governance. He also implemented consistent financial and operating policies across entities in TFS to strengthen the internal control over financial reporting systems for purposes of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Prior to Tyco, Chou was the Asia Pacific Chief Financial Officer of Lucent Technologies in Hong Kong. During his tenure at Lucent, he led the company's regional operations to support the restructuring requirements during the softening of the telecommunication sector. Mr. Chou co-founded the Children's Heart Foundation, a Hong Kong registered charity and also held the position as first Chairman. Mr. Chou is fluent in English and Mandarin and holds an MBA degree from Duke University and received executive training at Harvard Business School.
