ST. LOUIS, July 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amdocs (NYSE:DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, announced today that is has signed a major five-year services extension agreement with Telkom SA (NYSE:TKG), a leading integrated communications company in South Africa. Under the agreement, Amdocs will continue to provide maintenance and support services for the Amdocs customer experience systems deployed at Telkom SA since 1999, including consolidated billing, customer relationship management (CRM) and order management.
"Amdocs has offered best practices, outstanding flexibility and openness in managing our needs as Telkom transforms into a leading provider of information and communications technology or ICT solutions," said Motlatsi Nzeku, chief information officer and acting chief operating officer at Telkom SA. "Amdocs has a strong local presence in South Africa and proven commitment to Black Economic Empowerment -- a value that is shared with Telkom SA." The consolidated Amdocs billing, CRM and order management platform deployed at Telkom SA replaced disparate legacy systems for voice and data lines of business. The Amdocs platform allows Telkom SA to offer new personalized services and bundles and to provide advanced corporate support. Two recently launched services packages include "Telkom Closer" (optional calling plans to fit customer lifestyle and DSL bundles) and "Telkom PD Connect" (offers bundled voice, data and video services to gated communities, multi-tenant complexes and business developments).
"Amdocs services and customer experience systems empower Telkom SA to expand beyond the borders of South Africa and transform itself into a leading provider of ICT services," said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer at Amdocs.
