LONDON -(Dow Jones)- U.K. pharmaceutical company Alliance Pharma PLC (APH.LN) Thursday said nine-month sales rose 44% on the year and it expects to beat its own earnings expectations for the full year.
It said sales trends reported at the time of its interim results have continued. In September, the company said earnings were helped by sales of a steroid bought from Pfizer Inc. (PFE), and it recently acquired the rights to nausea drug Buccastem and skin cream Timodine from Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC (RB.LN).
Alliance didn't say what its expectations were for 2009. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of 3 pence a share, according to FactSet.
