NEWARK, NJ -(Dow Jones)- A senior All Nippon Airways Co. (9202.TO) executive said Tuesday that his company would only complain about proposed state aid to rival Japan Airlines Co. (JAPNY) if such a move affected the outcome.
Keisuke Okada, executive vice president alliances, said no complaint has been lodged with the Japanese government, which is considering a bailout of loss-making JAL.
"It is out of our hands," said Okada at an industry event near New York.
Okada said any complaint that aid may distort competition hinged on an assessment of whether the government might change its stance.
"We have not yet decided our position," said Okada in an interview.
