MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Alitalia SpA's board intends to resign either en
bloc or in stages, with the first batch expected to tender its resignation at a
meeting scheduled for May 13 to approve the airline's quarterly results, daily
Il Sole 24 Ore said in an unsourced report.
The newspaper said at the meeting, a new chief executive may be appointed,
with Cirio group commissioner Mario Resca seen as a possible candidate.
Alitalia's board comprises four directors, including chairman Aristide
Police.
