Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Aldermore Group plc (the "Company") announces that Robert Sharpe has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 29 June 2015 and will be a member of the Risk Committee and Audit Committee. He has also been appointed as a non-executive director of Aldermore Bank plc.

Mr Sharpe is currently Chairman at Al Rayan Bank plc and has over 35 years' experience in retail banking, with a strong focus on mortgage lending. He has recently returned from the Middle East where he held several non-executive directorships at banks in the UAE, Oman and Turkey. Mr Sharpe was previously Chief Executive Officer at West Bromwich Building Society, a role he took to chart and implement its rescue plan. Prior to this he was Chief Executive Officer at Portman Building Society and Bank of Ireland in the UK.
