Akzo Nobel in Talks to Buy BASF Industrial Coatings Business

Paints and specialty chemicals firm Akzo Nobel NV (AKZA.AE) said
Thursday it is in talks with BASF SE (BAS.XE) to buy the German
chemical producer's industrial coatings business.
The move is part of Akzo's strategy to drive organic growth
through value generating, bolt-on acquisitions.
No further details will be made available at this stage, Akzo
Nobel said.
