Akzo Nobel Seeks to Increase Chloromethanes Production

Akzo Nobel NV (AKZA.AE) announced plans on Monday to expand its
production of chloromethanes in Germany.
The company said that it had recently increased production for
the chemicals--used in pharmaceuticals and electronics--when it
upgraded a plant in Frankfurt.
Akzo Nobel General Manager Jurgen Baune said that the company is
confident it can accelerate its chloromethanes business by
stretching the current asset base to the maximum.
