AhnLab, Inc. (http://global.ahnlab.com), a leading provider of integrated security solutions, today announced its partnership with Intel to integrate Intel® Identity Protection Technology (Intel® IPT) with AhnLab Online Security(AOS) solution. Through their collaboration, the companies today unveiled ‘AOS SecureAuth IPT’ technology, which enables multi-factor authentication for consumers and all size of businesses including internet banking.

“We are pleased to introduce AOS SecureAuth IPT technology today, as adopting Intel’s finest hardware based security technology to AhnLab’s authentication solutions”, said HongSun Kim, CEO of AhnLab. “With this successful collaboration, AhnLab will focus its efforts on has worked closely to provide safer and more trusted authentication environment” he added.

George Thangadurai, GM of Intel PC Client Services division added "Intel is applying its leadership to security technology solutions to make computing safer. Cooperation with Ahnlab is another milestone we achieved to give internet users peace-of-mind that there are safeguards in place to increase their online protection.”

By providing the multi-factor authentication, leveraging username and password, OTP (One-Time Password), and device (trusted PC) authentication, ‘AOS SecureAuth IPT’ offers the highest level of security and convenience of logging into banking or other internet services with end to end protection, from your PC to authentication server. With this technology, the users can safely and easily log on their internet based services.

(Intel® IPT) is a tamper-resistant, two-factor authentication technology which is offered on Ultrabook™ devices with third generation Intel® Core™ technology (code named "Ivy Bridge"). It helps prevent unauthorized access to your important personal and business accounts while reducing the cost of traditional hardware solutions. It also provides a simple way for web sites and businesses to validate that a user is logging in from a trusted PC.

Based on Intel® IPT, AOS SecureAuth IPT not only provides strong authentication, but increases user convenience. As it generates OPT automatically from an embedded processor – in Ultrabook™ PCs–, users don’t need to input additional OTP to login. AhnLab also offers automatic hardware-based OTP generating technology for non-IPT or Ultrabook™ environment.

AhnLab’s AOS SecureAuth IPT technology can be implemented to any internet-based services where the strong authentication and the personal account protection is essential, such as internet banking, ecommerce, online gaming and internal access for enterprises or public organizations.
