In accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's ("FCA's") Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, Africa Opportunity Fund Limited advises that as at the close of business on 31 August 2017, its total issued share capital consisted of 74,849,606 ordinary shares of US$0.01 each ("Ordinary Shares") with voting rights attached (one vote per Ordinary Share). The Company holds no Ordinary Shares in treasury.

Accordingly, this figure of 74,849,606 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
