Advance Auto Parts Opens New Distribution Center in Lehigh
Valley, Pennsylvania
500 New Local Jobs Projected
LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa., April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Advance Auto Parts,
Inc., (NYSE:AAP), a leading retailer of automotive parts and accessories,
announced today that the Company's new distribution center in Weisenberg
Township, located in the Lehigh Valley of Eastern Pennsylvania, is open for
business. The new distribution center is serving the Company's expanding store
base in the Northeast region of the United States.
"This new strategically located facility plays an integral role in the
streamlining of our comprehensive distribution network," said Roy Martin,
Senior Vice President of Logistics & Replenishment. "It enhances our supply
chain efficiency and creates exciting opportunities to better and more
effectively serve our stores in the Northeast." The distribution center currently employs more than 150 team members and
Advance Auto Parts expects to add nearly 350 more jobs in the coming months as
the distribution center continues to ramp up volume. These jobs consist of
drivers, dispatchers, material handlers, supervisors, and managers and are
primarily being recruited from the Lehigh Valley area.

the newly expanded 650,000+ square-foot facility is outfitted with
state-of-the-art systems and equipment.
The distribution facility was developed through a joint venture between Arcadia
Properties, LLC, of Bethlehem, and The Prudential Insurance Company of America. The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation, the Governor's Action Team
and The Garibaldi Group also were instrumental in bringing Advance Auto Parts
to the region.
