NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Administaff Inc. Thursday said third-quarter
net income was $12.2 million, or 45 cents a share, beating the mean estimate of
analysts polled by Thomson Financial of 43 cents a share.
Revenue for the Houston-based employment organization company rose 13.3% to
$383.4 million, versus the $383.1 million analyst estimate. The company credited
a 9.7% increase in the average number of work site employees paid per month with
the increase in revenue.
In the year-ago period, the company posted net income of $12.1 million, or
43 cents a share, on revenue of $338.4 million.
Shares of Administaff closed Wednesday at $39.88.
