(AMEX:ADK), an Ohio based company, announced today the engagement of The McKnight Group, the largest developer and builder of churches in the mid-west, to actively market and assist AdCare in its marketing activities to establish relationships with churches that are seeking to create captive assisted living facilities on church grounds. The McKnight Group, a Columbus, Ohio design, architectural and construction firm, has developed and built over 500 churches in the last 30 years. Homer McKnight, the founder of the firm, believes that an assisted living setting fits in with the future needs and ministries of Christian lifestyles and church communities. He has agreed to market to his church clients, new and old, that an assisted living setting is consistent with the mission statements of churches.
The McKnight Group has agreed to incorporate into the plans for its church clients the design or layout of an assisted living facility for future development. When a church agrees to move forward with an assisted living project, AdCare will provide the development and the management services and The McKnight Group will provide the architectural, engineering and construction services.
