ACQUISITION OF HIGH & MIGHTY LTD
N Brown Group plc, the leading home shopping group, announces the acquisition of
certain assets of High & Mighty Ltd from the joint Administrators, from
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
The company has acquired the brand, website, stock and the assets of 14 stores
in the UK which in the year to 31 January 2009 had sales of over GBP8m, for a
total cash cost of GBP1.6m.
High & Mighty is the pre-eminent brand in the tall and large menswear market and
fits in with N Brown Groups' strategy to focus on niche products and customers.
The Board of N Brown believes there is an excellent opportunity to create a
multi-channel retail business with this brand comprising a portfolio of stores
in major cities complemented by the reintroduction of catalogues and the
development of the online offer.
N Brown Group plc will be announcing its half year results on 14 October 2009.
