NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Acacia Research Corp., which develops, acquires
and licenses patented technologies, said Monday its Contacts Synchronization
Corp. unit settled a patent infringement dispute with Verizon Wireless.
Settlement terms are confidential.
The lawsuit filed in May in the U.S. district court for the Western district
of Wisconsin related to electronic address list management technology. Other
companies in the lawsuit include AT&T Mobility LLC, Cingular Wireless LLV and
T-Mobile USA Inc., according to an Aug. 6 filing with the Securities and
Exchange Commission.
Verizon Wireless settled without admitting fault, Acacia said.
