MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Moody's Investors Service said it changed the
outlook on the bank financial strength rating (BFSR) of ANZ National Bank Ltd.,
New Zealand's largest bank, to stable from positive on the impact of the global
liquidity crisis on credit markets and the potential for a slowing domestic
economy in the New Zealand bank industry.
Moody's said the bank's debt and deposit ratings of 'Aa2/P-1' were not
affected and the outlook was stable, based on the very high probability of
support from its parent, Australia and New Zealand banking Group Ltd., and the
very high probability of systemic support, in case of need.
