BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - AK Steel Holding Corp. Tuesday said it will
increase spot market prices for its carbon steel products by $50 per ton,
effective with new orders scheduled for delivery on Sept. 1 and later.
The West Chester, Ohio-based company said the price increase is in response
to increasing global demand for carbon steel products, as well as the need to
recover increases in steelmaking inputs.
Shares of the steel producer closed Monday at $54.07.
