ACE Receives SEC Subpoena Class Action Lawsuit Filed, Reports

NEW YORK, Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- On November 15, 2004, ACE Limited has
received subpoenas from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York
Attorney General requesting documents in connection with an investigation of
non-traditional, or loss mitigation, products.

United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, on behalf
of all persons who purchased the securities of ACE Limited ("ACE" or the
"Company") (NYSE:ACE) between May 30, 2002 and 10:58a.m, Eastern Standard Time
