Valentine's Day Date with Brad Pitt
Lavalife Poll Also Reveals the Sexiest Movie Scenes Singles Would Like to
Re-Create and This Year's Hottest Valentine's Gifts
NEW YORK, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Brad Pitt recently became single again and,
according to a poll on Lavalife.com, thousands of single females would go to
extreme lengths to take advantage! Over half of 3,400 female respondents (58%)
asserted that they would give up sex for an entire year in exchange for a
Valentine's Day date with People Magazine's two-time Sexiest Man Alive. Twenty-one percent of those surveyed claimed that they would go to work naked
to spend the holiday with Pitt.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20050208/NYTU082LOGO ) When asked what they would do for a date with Jennifer Aniston, single men
overwhelmingly responded (53% of over 3,500 males) that they would shave their
heads completely bald.
Lavalife Corp., a subsidiary of Vertrue Incorporated (NASDAQ:VTRU),
commissioned three separate surveys to gauge singles sentiments and preferences
as Valentine's Day approached. The polls generated over 40,000 responses.
Other findings generated from the online poll, which was conducted the week of
January 17, 2005, include: * Fifty-four percent of singles asserted that their ideal gift this
Valentine's Day would be a plasma TV, followed by the newly released
iPod shuffle (24%) and the Motorola Razor V3 phone (14%) * When asked about the sexiest film scenes to recreate this Valentine's
Day, more than one third of respondents (36%) are raring to imitate
Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger's kinky kitchen scene from "9 1/2 Weeks". Other sexy movie moments topping the list for singles were the ceramics
lesson in "Ghost" (27%), and Sharon Stone's interrogation in "Basic
Instinct" (22%) Lavalife's unique approach celebrates and enhances the single lifestyle, rather
than focus solely on relationships, and offers a personalized and interactive
social journey for young, trendy singles. Lavalife wants this Valentine's Day
to be a fun and stress-free holiday for the 68 million(1) singles in North
America.
