BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - 3Com Corp. said Thursday it will immediately
adjourn its March 7 shareholder meeting to enable the company to continue
working with Bain Capital Partners regarding the pending merger.
The Marlborough, Mass.-based provider of secure and converged networking
said it will continue working with Bain to construct alternatives to address
concerns raised by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. related to
the pending merger.
3Com said it will reconvene the shareholder meeting on March 21.
On Feb. 20, both 3Com and Bain said they had decided to withdraw their joint
filing to the CFIUS regarding the proposed merger.
The stock rose 3 cents, or 1%, to $3.27.
