2005 AutoGlow! Creates Night of Glamour to Benefit The Children's
Center
DETROIT, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Get set for glamour Midwest style on Friday,
January 14, at the Ford Field Atrium as The Children's Center hosts 2005
AutoGlow! Hailed as Detroit's premier black-tie afterglow party following the
North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) Charity Preview at Cobo Hall,
2005 AutoGlow! will offer patrons the most elegant and intimate setting "under
the dome." Now in its 14th year, 2005 AutoGlow! serves as a major fundraiser for The
Children's Center, which offers 25 inter-related quality programs and services
for more than 7,000 children and families annually. Corporate and individual
support of 2005 AutoGlow! will ensure the continuance of these much-needed
services in the metro Detroit area.
The glamour begins with a pre-reception at Ford Field's Jazz Court at 4:45
p.m., featuring hearty hors d'oeuvres and a wine bar. Complimentary
door-to-door shuttle service to and from the Charity Preview allows patrons to
experience the black-tie affair in style. At the Ford Field Atrium, an elegant
strolling supper, complete with delicious desserts and open premium bars will
take place from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, as the musical band Intrigue spices up
the evening with golden oldies and top-of-the-chart hits.
A silent auction featuring a luxurious fur coat from the Ceresine & Offen Furs
Group and a business card drawing for a Stone Massage Package from Spa
Parisianne will help sweeten the pot for The Children's Center and give patrons
a chance to walk away looking and feeling even more glamorous -- if the bid is
right! Lisa's Gift Wrapping, Morley Candy Makers, Sanders and Angel Works will
add a touch of class to the gift bags each couple will receive.
Last year's AutoGlow! netted over $185,000 and supported programs such as Teen
Parenting and New Beginnings which assist young mothers and fathers as they
develop in their roles as parents, and the Mentally & Emotionally Impaired
(MEI) program, which provides services enabling impaired children to live at
home with their families.
Lisa V. and William Clay Ford, Jr. serve as honorary co-chairs and demonstrate
their commitment to The Children's Center with Ford Motor Company's Diamond
sponsorship for the fourth consecutive year. Gold sponsors BASF and Visteon
Corporation; Silver sponsor Kasle Steel, and Jazz Court sponsor Federal-Mogul
Corporation join the list of leading corporate sponsors.
2005 AutoGlow! is also made possible by Premium Presenter sponsors Dearborn
