Bancorporation (NASDAQ: ZION) announced today that Joseph (Joe) Reilly, who has been serving as
chief information officer (CIO), will assume the new role of chief
technology strategist. In this role he will focus on technology
strategy and planning, architecture, and the delivery of certain
strategic technology initiatives, including Zions' multi-year core
systems transformation project, which will replace the company's
loan servicing and deposit systems. Jennifer Smith will assume the role of chief
information officer. She will be responsible for providing the
company's banking divisions with technology solutions and
operational support. Both will report to the company's president
and chief operating officer, Scott McLean and serve on the
company's Executive Management Committee.

Smith has served as director of Enterprise Operations since 2011
and has been responsible for the Customer Care Center, Deposit
and Treasury Operations, Enterprise Loan Operations, and Consumer
Lending and Card Operations departments. Prior to joining
Enterprise Technology and Operations she served as Zions
Bancorporation's director of Internal Audit. She also held a
variety of senior management roles in technology and operations
risk management and internal audit at Wells Fargo. Smith holds
undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics from the University
of Utah.
Reilly has served as the company's CIO since 2011. He joined
Zions in 2001 as director of Architecture and Development, and has
held roles as director of Information Systems & Technology and
chief technology officer. He was a Bank Systems & Technology
2012 Elite 8 Winner. Before joining Zions, he held senior roles at
Bank of America, Xpede, and Alltel Information Services. He is a
graduate of the University of Missouri-St.
Louis with a degree in business - management information
systems.
