LONDON--Advertising giant WPP PLC (WPP.LN) said Tuesday its operating company Wunderman has bought a majority stake of Brazilian digital marketing specialist Pmweb Comunicacao Ltda. for an undisclosed sum.

Pmweb monitors digital campaigns across multiple screens and devices on behalf of its clients, allowing them to tweak messages in real time to optimize their effectiveness.

This investment continues WPP's strategy of investing in fast growing sectors such as digital and its commitment to developing its strategic networks throughout Latin America, while bolstering the group's position in Brazil.

Shares at 1300 GMT up 6 pence, or 0.33%, at 1822 pence.
