LONDON--Communications company WPP PLC (WPP.LN) said Thursday it is buying U.S. e-commerce specialist Triad Retail Media for an undisclosed sum.

Triad Retail Media made net revenue of more than $120 million in 2015, the company said. Triad's clients include Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Sam's Club and eBay Inc., the company added.

WPP is buying the business through its wholly owned company Xaxis.

WPP shares at 1110 GMT were down 2 pence, or 0.1%, at 1,818 pence valuing the company at GBP23.28 billion.
