PORTLAND, Ore., June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentrak (NASDAQ: RENT), the leader in precisely measuring movies and TV everywhere, today announced the top weekly cross-platform entertainment rankings for June 3, 2015.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson created a seismic box-office experience in 61 global territories this past weekend as Warner Bros.' earthquake adventure "San Andreas" takes the top spot with an impressive $114.6 million worldwide debut. With $60 million generated in the international markets, the movie also shook North American theaters with a number one opening of $54.6 million.

Universal's "Pitch Perfect 2" keeps singing its way up the charts with no end in sight and in its third weekend the movie continues to draw enthusiastic crowds. The movie now has a worldwide total of  $228.2 million and with a second place finish in North America of $14.8 million, the movie posted a modest third weekend drop (just 52%) and now has a North American total nearing the $150 million mark (which is more than twice the entire box office of the first installment).

On our digital purchases and rentals chart, 20th Century Fox's "Kingsman: The Secret Service" was crowned with the number one spot in its first week of release while Warner Bros.' "American Sniper" in its fourth week of release continues to dominate the number two position. Warner Bros.' 1981 release, "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior" starring Mel Gibson hit the charts at the number 15 position thanks in part to the theatrical release "Mad Max: Fury Road" and its success at the box office.

All is fair in love and war on our Movies on Demand chart and our DVD and Blu-ray Disc Sales chart which are both topped by Warner Bros.' war drama "American Sniper" followed in the second spot by Universal's erotic drama "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Univision's "Hasta el fin del mundo" is number one this week on our Top Viewer Engagement for Broadcast Telecasts chart followed by last week's leader, Telemundo's "El Senor de los Cielos" and CBS's "NCIS" in third.

AMC's "Mad Men" series finale drew a huge amount of audience interest as the critical and audience favorite enjoyed its last call at the bar. VH1's "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" landed in second place while A&E's acclaimed "Bates Motel" took the third position.

On our combined social media and digital engagement chart for viewers of broadcast NBC's "The Voice" semifinals got under way this week with Sawyer Frederick's rendition of For What It's Worth leading this week with over 519k views. ESPN's "SportsCenter" grabbed second with the help of Odell Beckham Jr. with an Instagram post of OBJ as the Madden 16 video game cover had over 142k interactions. A live segment on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" led the charge this week with a Facebook post with a video of the Noah Galloway Proposal live on DWTS had 144k+ interactions.
