Oh hey -- I agree. Rail is a wonderful sector we've forgotten in consideration for importation. So yeah, you got my vote. Someone will realize what we have in rail and revitalize it.

I wish I could do it -- there's a lot to be made in rail.

We called it last summer....this whole rail and mass transit industry that has been dormant is about to wake up and tap that sleeping giant on the shoulder and remind it that the world is killing our American economy and we need to start exporting goods and services, not importing $1.00 store gimics of plastic rubber dog poop, pop-rocks, and soda from China.

Ok, I want to be the Mod, and I need four recent posts.

I called this one going to $15.00 by Christmas back this summer when it was under $10.00. Anyone else have any guesses about a buy out price? I say $24.00 a share based on the land and equipment.

I think the mass transit industry is heading towards a boom. I got rid of one of my cars and take the shuttle to work. It's $1.15 to go 15 miles from the Governors Mansion to the Statehouse on the NJ Transit. It costs $3.00 for a gallon of gas to even go the 15 miles; so figure that out. If it's working out for the kid living in Princeotn commuting to Trenton, it's working in every city across America. Mass transit is about to take off. Mark my words. People are sick of driving and paying the insurance costs too. If gas goes to $5.00 a gallon watch these companies get bought up faster than they can print the tickets.

I didn't think it would be this good. Talk about picking a winer. Man am I glad I bought in this past summer in the single digits....we're heading to that $24.00 a share Buffet-Buy-Out....choo choo!!!! All aboard!!! Next stop; Vegas Baby!!! Well maybe just Boston, but at least we're having fun.

Looks like the train stocks are choo choo choosen to go up.

We're moving again. All the railroads are moving. Also, since %5 of this PWX stock was recently published as being owned by a much larger railroad, it's only safe to assume they are planning on a bid or take over.

This stock is moving, we were at $9.90 offer yesterday and today we're bidding above $11.00. It's like taking candy from a halloween basket with a "take all you can eat" sign on it with a little gremlin that comes out and refills the candy jar every night. I don't get it. My stock club buys 200 shares in the morning sell them at lunch and buy them back at the afternoon coffee break only to do the same round trip the next day....it's like this stock really is a train on a track going around in circles and someone, somewhere is buying and trading it like Mickey-Mantle cards they just peeled out of fresh pack they bought at the five and dime in the summer of 69.

Besides, America is moving back to mass-transit. A lot of high school educated non college going working class people would rather own or rent three little one room effiency apartments in three different cities and ride the train than own a big house and drive a car. It's catching on more often than we think.

Not to mention it spits out a small cash dividend like old-faithful shoots out water. Companies like this train company, that own the "real" estate under the tracks, and equipment with 100 year lifespans, are much different than investing in high risk financials, gold or oil.

Yes, but it trades, it flips, and if you have $5,000.00 to $10,000.00 and the patience to keep your rod tip up and the line tight, the fish always bites.

It's tough to trade though -- a flip usually takes me about 2-3 days.

This flips between 10.90 and 12.00 every day...it's like a little gremlin comes out at 3:45PM and starts buying up all the shares they just sold for a dollar more than they sold it.

Providence and Worcester Railroad Company Announces Dividend

WORCESTER, Mass., Apr 29, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Providence and Worcester
Railroad Company (NASDAQ: "PWX") announced that, at its regular quarterly meeting
on April 29, 2009, the Board of Directors of the Company declared a dividend of
$.04 per share on the outstanding Common Stock of the Company, payable May 26,
2009 to shareholders of record on May 11, 2009.
