Oracle, Google Settlement Talks Over Java Patent Failed -Bloomberg

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Talks on a settlement over Java programming between Oracle Corp. (ORCL) and Google Inc. (GOOG) have failed and a court date for the two companies has been set for April 16, Bloomberg News reported Monday on its website, citing a court filing. Google last week offered to pay Oracle $2.8 million if its Android mobile software is found to infringe on Oracle's java patents in addition to a percentage of future Android-related revenues.
