The New York Times won three Pulitzer Prizes on Monday,
including awards for investigative reporting, international
reporting and feature photography. The Wall Street Journal also won
a Pulitzer for investigative reporting.
In addition, the Los Angeles Times won two Pulitzers, one for
feature writing and one for criticism.
On the literary front, Anthony Doerr's novel "All the Light We
Cannot See" won in the fiction category, while Gregory Pardlo's
"Digest" won for poetry.
In the investigative category, The Wall Street Journal staff won
for its "Medicare Unmasked" series that provided Americans
"unprecedented access to previously confidential data on the
motivations and practices of their health care providers."
In the same category, the New York Times won for reporting by
Eric Lipton that showed the ability of lobbyists to "sway
congressional leaders and state attorneys general."
