Anna Kinberg Batra is the leader of the Swedish opposition,
since being elected Party Leader of the Moderate Party in January
2015. Prior to being elected Party Leader she held the position of
Parliamentary Group Leader for the Moderate Party between 2010 and
2015. In addition, she served as the first female Chairman of the
Committee on Finance, and was in charge of passing the government’s
budget. During this time, she also worked extensively on ensuring
the stability of the Swedish financial system in the aftermath of
the financial crisis and the following recession.
